Lecturers and education staff of the Faculty of Computer Science UB have carried out the second stage of vaccination in Samantha Krida Building, Universitas Brawijaya, Saturday (21/8/202).
This vaccination program is organized by the university in collaboration with Universitas Brawijaya Polyclinic and Teaching Hospital.
As many as 1700 vaccination participants attended in that day consisting of various faculties including FILKOM. The vaccine used in the university’s vaccination program is AstraZeneca vaccine.
This second stage of vaccination activity starts at 08.00 WIB until 14.30 WIB. In addition to the lecturers and education staff, janitors and cleaning servicers also participated in the vaccination activity.
Participants and committee always follow health protocols during this vaccination program.
Moreover, vaccination is also carried out by professional medical personnel. More interestingly, the organizing committee provided a photo booth to support participants if they wanted to share memories during vaccine activities.
The COVID-19 vaccination program for the academic community is expected to accelerate the implementation of face-to-face learning in universities.
In accordance with the policy of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research Technology (Kemdikbudristek), face-to-face learning is a mandatory option that must be carried out by educational units with a provision that educators have received complete vaccines.
This complete vaccination program for doses 1 and 2 is an effort by universities to succeed in the vaccination program launched by the government.
So, it is expected to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19 and form herd immunity. By implementing this vaccination, it is hoped that universities as educational institutions can be more prepared and optimal in providing services for students. (drn/Humas UB/ Trans. Iir)
