In order to increase understanding and ease of paying taxes for Civil Servants (PNS), especially at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya (UB), on Tuesday, April 23 2024, a socialization event about tax savings was held. This activity is important considering the policy changes in paying employee wage tax after UB became a State University with Legal Entity (PTNBH).
The activities which held in the Auditorium of UB Faculty of Law were filled with civil servants who wanted to understand more deeply the importance of tax savings in the context of changes in employee wage tax policies.
The event was hosted directly by the Dean of FH UB, Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, SH., M.Hum., and also the Vice Dean for Finance and Resources, FH UB, Dr. Nurini Aprilianda, S.H., M.Hum., attended by UB Vice Rector for Finance and Resources, Prof. Dr. M. Ali Safaat SH., M.H., who acted as a speaker at the event.
According to Dr. Aan, it is hoped that this activity can provide information to civil servant employees at FH UB regarding policy changes regarding financial taxes.
“Alhamdulillah, this activity was attended directly by VR II as the speaker, who will later provide an in-depth explanation of the concept of tax savings and how this can make paying taxes easier for civil servants,” said Dr. Aan.
In his presentation, Prof. M. Ali Safaat said that changes to employee wage tax policies after UB became PTNBH did require adjustments for civil servants. One step that can be taken is to take advantage of tax savings.
“In this way, civil servants can more easily fulfill their tax obligations so that it doesn’t pile up at the end and this savings can also plan their future finances better,” said Prof. Ali.
He also emphasized the importance of tax savings as a financial instrument that can provide long-term benefits.
“Tax savings is not just about meeting tax obligations, but also about planning a more prosperous retirement. By saving regularly and smartly, civil servants can ensure financial stability in the future,” he said. (RMA/FH PR/OKY/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
