Workshop on Monitoring and Evaluation of Integrity Zone 2024 and the Development of Integrity Zone 2025

The Bureaucratic Reform Unit of Universitas Brawijaya (UB) on Tuesday (5/12/2024) held a Workshop on Monitoring and Evaluation of the Integrity Zone in 2024 and Integrity Zone Development in 2025.

The activity, which took place at the Grand Ballroom 2 Atria Hotel Malang, was attended by participants from all faculties and work units within Universitas Brawijaya.

In his report, the Head of the Bureaucratic Reform Unit, Dr. Ngesti D. Prasetyo, SH, M.Hum said that in this activity at least UB’s vision and mission regarding the development of the integrity zone that will be implemented later in 2025 can be known.

Ngesti said that at the end of December, IZ UB has entered one year of the development of the integrity zone where from the planning process, 23 work units have been designated as integrity zones.

“So 19 Faculties, including PSDKU Kediri then added by UB clinic, RSUB, and BSS. Although in 2024 BSS will undergo a transformation into a foundation. Well, we will also review this in 2025,” said Ngesti.

It was also conveyed that from the 23 work units, their performance guidelines are all on the Higher Education inspiration page, namely 23 pages, which have been assessed by TPPTN, namely Universitas Brawijaya Internal Team, as many as 19 work units. And then what has been done by Ristek Dikti in early 2024 is 5 work units. Among them are FTP, FEB, Filkom, FKH and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

“IZ also carries out an evaluation of the integrity zone, in each work unit to discuss and provide input and receive input. So this is a fairly extraordinary synergy between the work units and IZ at the University. So that in 2024, in August, the average assessment achievement value of 19 work units is above the WBK standard, which is 75,” he added.

At the end of his report, Ngesti hopes that in 2025 UB can be more established, better understand, and have an impact on changing work culture, work systems, and building a healthy environment for work.

“Our hope is that in 2025 UB can be more established, better understand, and have a big impact, especially not only the assessment of numbers, but also have a big impact on changing work culture, work systems, and build a healthy environment for work,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, UB Rector Prof. Widodo SSi., MSi., PhD. Med. Sc., in his speech when opening the activity expressed his gratitude for the hard work in overseeing the integrity zone at Universitas Brawijaya where this is part of UB’s IKU and also becomes the foundation for UB to become an accountable, transparent institution with integrity.

“We in higher education as an educational institution, this is our common concern and we must be able to provide an example, that we in education also have good integrity. What was previously reduced by Mr. Ngesti, what we are working on, Alhamdulillah, is already at the level of management guidelines. In the future, we will not stop at the level of governance, but we must enter into culture,” said the Rector.

The Rector also said that the monitoring and evaluation activities and the instruments that will be worked on are the foundation for UB in forming a culture towards an institution that has exemplary behavior by strengthening integrity. Considering that higher education is a pioneer for change. Towards an institution that has integrity, is equitable and also has good dedication.

“Thus, the university will be a place where the public will still believe in us that in the university people will learn. Because lately, there have been many changes in the university related to integrity, the academic integrity,” he said.

“We hope that we can fix it together so that the public will increasingly believe that this university is one of the places where people put their hopes for the movement of integrity change, the culture of integrity that exists in society,” he concluded. (ron/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
