The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FT UB) successfully held an Online Webinar Introduction to FT UB in collaboration with Ganesha Operation (GO). This activity aims to provide deeper insight to high school students throughout Indonesia who are interested in continuing their studies at FT UB.
This webinar received high enthusiasm from participants who wanted to know more about study programs, career prospects, and scholarship opportunities at FT UB. It was recorded that almost 1000 students and parents of students participated in this online webinar activity.
The webinar was held online via zoom and broadcasted live via the Ganesha Operation Youtube channel on Saturday, (3/15/2025). This event presented a number of speakers from the Head of Study Programs at FT UB. They shared information about the academic environment and the various advantages offered by their respective Study Programs, ranging from Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Architecture, Urban & Regional Planning, Industrial Engineering, and Chemical Engineering.
The Dean of FT UB in his speech said that the collaboration with Ganesha Operation is a strategic step to reach prospective students from various regions. With this webinar, it is hoped that high school students can get information directly from trusted sources and be more motivated to join FT UB. In addition, he also gave advice to the students who attended.
“The key to achieving success is knowing the rules or regulations that apply. Then knowing the target (entering college) by preparing provisions where the provisions are routine practice in working on questions that can help students get used to knowing the model of questions that will come out on the test later,” he explained.
In addition, this activity also felt special because it was attended directly by the President Director of GO, Prof. Dr. Ir. Bob Foster, M.M where he also provided tips for participating in the SNBT which will be held soon.
Continuing in the main activity, representatives from each study program at FT UB provided an in-depth explanation of the study program profile, laboratory facilities, and job opportunities for graduates of each study program as well as student achievements obtained both at the national and international levels. Several study programs that have received international accreditation were also introduced as proof of the quality of education that has been recognized globally.
One of the most interesting sessions in this webinar was the interactive question and answer session, where participants were given the opportunity to ask questions about registration, entrance selection, and student life at FT UB. Many students were interested in learning more about the admission pathways, such as SNBP, SNBT, and Independent Selection, as well as strategies for being accepted into their dream study programs at FT UB.
With the success of this webinar, FT UB and Ganesha Operation are committed to continuing to collaborate in providing wider access to educational information. It is hoped that similar activities can continue to be carried out in the future so that more high school students will obtain accurate information and be more determined to join the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya Family.
