Vice Dean 3 Targets FH Students to Enter PIMNAS and Publication in International Journals

Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Entrepreneurship of FH UB, Dr. Muktiono, S.H., M.Phil., expressed great hope that FH UB students will enter PIMNAS and Publication in International Journals

After successfully winning 2nd place in the LP2PKM Universitas Brawijaya (UB) event with four gold medals, three silver medals, and three bronze medals, the Faculty of Law (FH UB) has now set a higher target for 2025.

Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Entrepreneurship of FH UB, Dr. Muktiono, S.H., M.Phil., hopes that FH students can go further, one of which is by reaching the final of the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) and increasing contributions through publications in international journals.

“This achievement in LP2PKM is a very good start in the academic and research world, but our steps must not stop here,” said Dr. Muktiono to FH UB public relations (1/15/2024).

He added, our next target is to bring the works of FH students to a higher level, especially to PIMNAS. In addition, we also want students to actively write and publish their research in international journals as a form of real contribution to science.”

LP2PKM this year is real proof that FH students have the capacity to compete at the university level. However, Dr. Muktiono emphasized that the competition in PIMNAS requires more mature preparation and a focused strategy. According to him, participation in PIMNAS is not only about bringing the good name of the faculty, but also building students’ self-confidence to compete on the national stage.

“We will improve coaching, both in terms of research ideas, writing quality, and presentation methods. Collaboration between students and supervising lecturers will also be strengthened so that the results are truly optimal,” he added.

The great hope conveyed by Dr. Muktiono shows FH UB’s commitment in strengthening the ecosystem of scientific work at FH UB, especially for new students and becomes a motivation that they are not inferior to other faculties.

With the existing enthusiasm and support, UB Faculty of Law is optimistic that it can achieve these targets in 2025 and further strengthen its position as one of the best law faculties in Indonesia. (rma/FH PR/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
