In this lecture, Prof. Eka Nugraha Putra explained in detail the various dispute resolution mechanisms that apply in international relations.
“In international relations between subjects of international law, sometimes we encounter obstacles that can develop into disputes. To resolve this, International Law provides various mechanisms that can be taken,” said Prof. Eka in one of his sessions.
He explained that there are two main methods in resolving international disputes: peaceful means and violence. He emphasized the importance of choosing a peaceful path in an effort to maintain global stability and peace. This peace route itself is divided into two approaches, namely the diplomatic route and the legal route.
Prof. Eka also explained that in legal terms, countries can choose international justice institutions that are in accordance with the agreement and authority over the country or the case related.
This lecture received high appreciation from the participants consisting of students, lecturers and legal practitioners. They considered Prof. Eka not only adds theoretical insight but also provides a practical perspective that is much needed in the practice of international law.
