AQAS Experts International Accreditation Visit to FAPET

The process of applying for international accreditation Agency for Quality Assurance through the Accreditation of Study Programs (AQAS) for the Postgraduate Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) is entering the expert visitation stage. The visit which lasted for three days, Tuesday – Thursday (31/1-2/2/2023) was conducted by Prof. Helen Louton (University of Rostock Germany), Dr. Tanja Dillenburger (University of Hohenheim Germany), Dr. SarahTypechewski (University of Bonn Germany), Prof. Anjas Asmara (Universiti Putra Malaysia), Damon Mohebbi (University of Dusseldorf Germany), and Alexandre Wipf.

They were welcomed by UB’s management team consisting of leaders, Director of Internationalization, Director of International Accreditation, Quality Assurance Institute, Educational Development Institute, and the Dean of Faculty of Animal Husbandry. The event was led by Prof. Widodo as Rector to introduce the profile of UB and Fapet in general.

Then the expert group headed to the Faculty of Animal Husbandry building to discuss postgraduate program development that has been and will be carried out. Then go around reviewing the infrastructure supporting learning activities, such as the library laboratory, IT studio, administration room, student activity room, and so on.

The following day, in order to review the documents that had been sent by the task force, the expert tested the truth by conducting interviews with the S2 & S3 teaching lecturers, students and alumni, as well as stakeholders. The interview was conducted behind closed doors and divided into several sessions.

Prof. V.M. Ani Nurgiartiningsih as coordinator of Fapet said this visitation was to assess the quality of study programs in an effort to produce qualified graduates according to international standards.
