The International Academic Affairs Office (UPT IAA) of Universitas Brawijaya (UB) continues to strengthen its role in expanding international cooperation networks by hosting a visit from Massey University, New Zealand. The visit, which took place on Thursday, October 3, 2024, was attended by Dr. Stangl and Ms. Ha Lien Ton from Massey Business School. The primary agenda of the meeting was to explore collaboration opportunities through the double degree MBA program offered by Massey University.
As the central body responsible for managing and developing UB’s international partnerships, UPT International Academic Affairs plays a crucial role in bridging these collaborations. The discussions during the meeting focused on designing a collaboration that would allow UB students to participate in the double degree program at Massey University, providing them with the opportunity to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from both institutions.
Dr. Stangl, representing Massey Business School, expressed his appreciation for UB’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships. “We see great potential in this collaboration, particularly with the full support of UPT International Academic Affairs UB, which has a strong vision for the internationalization of education,” said Dr. Stangl. He added that Massey Business School’s MBA program is designed to develop strategic leadership skills, which are highly relevant in today’s global business environment.
Ms. Ha Lien Ton also emphasized Massey University’s strong commitment to realizing this partnership. “We are confident that this double degree program will offer significant benefits, not only to students but also in strengthening the relationship between both institutions in the future,” she explained.
This visit further solidifies the strategic role of UPT International Academic Affairs as a key driver in establishing UB’s international collaborations with leading universities worldwide. As these partnerships continue to grow, UPT International Academic Affairs is determined to expand international education and research opportunities, enhancing UB’s standing as a premier higher education institution on the global stage.
