Group 72 of FISIP-FIB Berbakti Desa (FBD) Universitas Brawijaya held an MSME bazaar in Lodalem Hamlet, Arjowilangun Village, Malang Regency. This bazaar activity is intended to provide a forum for MSME actors in Arjowilangun Village which will later have a positive impact on improving the village economy.
Adrian Hidayat, Head of Group 72 Coordination, said that this MSME bazaar not only provides a platform for MSME actors to market their products, but also provides an opportunity to expand business networks and learn from each other.
“Through this bazaar, we hope to help improve the welfare of the Lodalem Hamlet community by providing support to small and medium business actors. In addition, this event is also expected to strengthen social relations among residents,” said Adrian.
This activity showcases various superior products from local MSMEs, ranging from batik crafts, local food products such as corn, kebabs, and so on. Each MSME stand is given the opportunity to present their products to visitors, including how to make and the advantages of the products.
One of the MSME actors, Edo, expressed his gratitude and thanks to the FBD UB team for being facilitated with a place to sell.
“This bazaar really helps us, MSME actors, to be better known to the wider community. Our sales have increased quite a bit, and we also get a lot of suggestions from visitors for future product development,” said Edo.
FBD 72 also held workshops and short training for MSME actors covering digital marketing and product innovation. This workshop is expected to provide additional provisions for MSME actors to be more competitive in the increasingly developing market.
“This training is very useful for us, especially in marketing products online. We understand more about the importance of digital marketing in today’s era,” said Fiki, one of the workshop participants and screen printing business owner.
With this bazaar, FBD UB 72 hopes to provide real contributions to the development of MSMEs in Arjowilangun Village. Support from various parties, both from universities and village governments, is highly expected so that similar activities can continue and provide greater benefits to the community.
