Universitas Brawijaya (UB) received a prestigious award in the Public Sector category “Gold Rank” from ASRRAT (Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating) and NCCR (National Center for Corporate Reporting). The award was held on Thursday night, November 21, 2024, at the Raffles Hotel Kuningan, Jakarta.
The award was received directly by the Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Alumni and Student Entrepreneurship, who represented the Rector of Universitas Brawijaya in an event attended by various academics, professionals, and observers of sustainability issues in Asia.
ASRRAT and NCCR gave this award as a form of recognition of Universitas Brawijaya’s commitment to implementing sustainability principles and transparency reporting in the public sector. The “Gold Rank” award is a proof that UB has succeeded in integrating sustainability aspects into all aspects of its operations and management.
Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Alumni and Student Entrepreneurship, Dr. Setiawan Noerdajasakti, SH., MH., on that occasion stated, “This award is the result of the hard work of the entire academic community of Universitas Brawijaya in realizing the commitment to sustainability. We believe that sustainability is not only the responsibility of one party, but is a shared task that must be implemented in all sectors, whether in education, research, or community service. In the future, we will continue to develop policies and programs that support the principles of sustainability in all aspects of campus life.”
This award is also expected to motivate other universities to pay more attention to and implement sustainability practices in every line of their institutions. Universitas Brawijaya continues to be committed to support the development of sustainable science and social sciences, as well as building a young generation that cares about environmental and social sustainability.
