National level Gebyar Brawijaya Qur’ani (GBQ) III that is one of working programs of Student Activity Unit (Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa/UKM) Religious Art University of Brawijaya (UB) symbolically is officially opened by Vice Rector III of Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Ir. Arief Prajitno, MS on Friday (26/Feb/2016) at Samantha Krida UB by beating the drum.
Delivered by Head of Convener Didit Afrian, at recent, the third national level holds six race branches including Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ), Musabaqah Syarhil Qur’an (MSQ), Musabaqah Khatil Qur’an (MKQ), Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur’an (MHQ) and the Holy Qur’an Scientific Writing Competition (LKTA) and Musabaqah of the Holy Qur’an Application Design.
Around 350 participants from 517 registrants will join in the event which would be convened in three days started from 26th until 28th of February. Implementation of the event is widespread in four venues including Samantha Krida UB, Student Cultural Building, Mechanical Engineering building at FT UB and FH UB’s Hall.
“We hope by GBQ III, could become a container for Senior High School students to perform their talents and potency in religious arts like MTQ, MSQ, LKTA and so on. And also, by GBQ, could be created a Qur’ani achieved youths for obtaining great future and qualified human beings,” said Didit.
In line with Didit, Vice Rector III Prof. Arief in his remarks warmly welcome GBQ event and also hopes the participants who are Senior High School students from all over Indonesia will able to join with UB due to MTQ-related achievements. “We hope participants who are Senior High School students able to join with UB due to their achievements in MTQ and certainly by considering academic achievements and also have fulfilled administrative requirements to be set,” he hoped.
