Not only excelling in academic achievement, Universitas Brawijaya students also often excel in non-academic fields, one of which is sports. This was proven by Perisai Diri Student Activity Unit team which won the title as the general champion of Malang Perisai Diri Festival Cup 2, which was held at Ardimulyo Village Hall on March 11-12.
In this event, the PD UB team fielded 11 athletes to compete in 8 branches of competition. According to Fadhilah Alya Prastinanda as the UKM administrator, the PD UB team has prepared themself well. “For this competition, we prepared for 1 month of practice. Each branch is attended by two to three athletes. And the result is that we brought home the General Champion in this championship”, she explained.
The teams participating in this competition included the Original Technique Solospel group followed by M. Satria Ramadhan, while the Combination Technique Solospel were joined by Enrico and Lintang Trisnadi for the men’s group and Luthfiah Amini, Dehaziza and Salwa Yusria in the women’s group.
In the Empty Handed Pairs branch, M. Satria Ramadhan and Efforta for the men’s group participated, and Shafira Rahmazhahira and Fadhilah Alya Prastinanda for the women’s group. In the Pair of Arms branch, M. Satria Ramadhan and Efforta for the men’s group, and the women’s group were Shafira Rahmazhahira and Fadhilah Alya Prastinanda.
In the Combination Team branch, followed by M. Satria Ramadhan, Fahri Rozan and Lintang Trisnadi in the men’s group, and Shafira Ramhazhahira, Fadhilah Alya Prastinanda and Luthgfiah Amini in the women’s group.
