
Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPRM) Universitas Brawijaya held a socialization of Students Build Villages (MMD) UB 2025 which was held online (4/17/2025). This activity was opened with a speech by the Head of the Sub-Directorate of Community Service, Yusron Sugiarto, PhD. “The MMD program is a real form of UB’s commitment in realizing the tri dharma of higher education, especially in the aspect of community service,” said Yusron. The Student Village Development Program is a community service program that involves Universitas Brawijaya students in village development in East Java
Yusron Sugiarto, PhD also said that the MMD program is also an integral part of Universitas Brawijaya in its ongoing partnership with various villages in East Java and Indonesia.
In this socialization, there was also a presentation of material delivered by the Chairperson of MMD 2025, Dr. Saparila Worokinasih S.Sos., M.Si.

He delivered material related to the Student Build Village Program 2025. The topics of discussion in the material consisted of the registration mechanism, student qualifications, implementation of MMD, and the benefits of participating in MMD UB.
“What becomes the focus area of MMD must be aligned with the Village SDGs with the work program that will be carried out by the MMD group team,” he said.
In MMD 2025, 36 Field Supervisors and 1000 students will be involved who will be spread across 76 Villages, 23 Sub-districts, and 5 Regencies in East Java Province. The distribution is carried out in 4 Villages and 1 Sub-district in Bojonegoro Regency, 4 Villages and 4 Sub-districts in Ngawi Regency, 4 Sub-districts and 39 Villages in Malang Regency, 16 Sub-districts and 25 Villages in Lumajang Regency, and 1 Sub-district and 4 Villages in Banyuwangi Regency. The implementation of MMD UB 2025 will be held for 4 weeks, starting from July 1 to August 1, 2025.
In order to support the MMD UB 2025 program, the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPRM) partners with various parties including: the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, the Directorate General of Higher Education, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. Then, also with the Ministry of Social Affairs, the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia, and BPJS Kesehatan. As well as the East Java Provincial Government and 5 Regency Governments that will be the venue for the implementation of MMD UB 2025.
This activity was closed with a discussion between students who attended the socialization and the Chairperson of MMD 2025 as the speaker, then closed with documentation by all participants who attended this socialization activity. (FER/UB PR/ Trans. Iir).
