The delegation consisted of eight people consisting of Muhamad Mikail Arrumy (2022), Ni Komang Dewinda Leony Putri (2022), and Ashyra Vidya Krisanthi (2023) as the oralists and offline delegates who competed directly in Hong Kong. The three were assisted by researchers consisting of Muhammad Anugrah Ramadan Haryo Putra (2022), Olga Patricia Hapsari (2023), Zuraida Nur Negyta (2023), Rayhan Lareza (2023), and Raida Khansa Hidayat (2023 who supported the competition research.
The Annual Willem C Vis East Moot International Commercial Arbitration Competition is a competition on international arbitration with the theme of international trade issues. The competition mechanism involves several series, such as file admisnistration, followed by oral rounds. The delegates then act as legal advisors for the plaintiff against the defendant in the position case.

One of the offline delegates, Ni Komang Dewinda Leony Putri, shared her impressions of the competition. She said that this competition opened up wide opportunities to connect with delegates from other countries and judges who have international legal backgrounds.
“We met various people from different countries, so their cultural and legal backgrounds are also different,” she said.
One of the challenges of these differences is related to the legal system adopted by the participating countries. For example, Indonesia, which adopts civil law, is certainly different from the South Korean delegation which adopts common law in its legal system. This is even reflected in small things, such as how to greet and also how to answer questions.
“We hope that UB delegation will not stop here and can improve other international achievements,” concluded Leony. [FIM/Irene/ UB PR/ Trans. Iir]
