The Institute for Educational Development and Quality Assurance (LP3M) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held a webinar on Servant Leadership Based on Excellent Service Standards and Flexible Work Space Innovation, Tuesday (31/8/2021). The activity is carried out online using Zoom application.
Presented as presenters were the Secretary General of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education and Culture as well as representatives from the Ministry of Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform.
UB Rector in his speech, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani MS, said that UB must get used to working quickly, precisely and efficiently.
Excellent service must continue to be improved so that all UB users get satisfaction.
The excellent service is accompanied by servant leadership. This is UB’s effort to welcome PTNBH and the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
“UB must get used to working quickly, precisely and efficiently. All personnel in UB must work excellently with servant leadership concept. All activities are carried out as an effort to satisfy all UB users. It is hoped that UB will be able to work and develop optimally in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and welcome UB as PTNBH,” said Nuhfil.
The Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Ir. Paristiyanti Nurwardani, M.P. explained that UB is currently running a Hybrid workplace during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
“UB should be in phase 4 (soft open), phase 5 (open with restrictions), and phase 6 (Open). However, resistance is sure to occur. Some employees, students, and the general public will continue to require the flexibility of learning/services as fully online during the pandemic,” said Paris.
Therefore, in the flexibility of service or learning, anyone must continue to work, work and work anywhere and anytime. According to Paris, the decision regarding this matter is currently being drafted into the decision of Director General and will be implemented in all universities. (PON/Humas UB/ Trans. Iir).
