UB Enhances Digital Education Innovation through Various Strategic Activities with LMS BRONE

Universitas Brawijaya (UB), through the Directorate of Innovation and Education Development (DIPP), continues to strengthen its commitment to support digital education transformation through the LMS (Learning Management System) BRONE (Brawijaya Online Education) platform. Various strategic activities have been carried out throughout 2024, including workshops, socialization, technical training, and final evaluations, to ensure the optimization of the use of BRONE as an innovative LMS at UB.

BRONE (Brawijaya Online Education)

This series began on Monday (8/7/2024), DIPP UB held a workshop themed “Preparation of BRONE Digital Learning Guidelines” at The Alana Hotel Malang. This activity aims to prepare a comprehensive digital learning guide. With these guidelines, it is hoped that lecturers at UB can create informative, innovative, interactive and attractive courses that can be accessed by students through the BRONE LMS.

Continued on Wednesday (18/9/2024) at the Prof. Ir. Suryono Auditorium, the Faculty of Engineering UB, DIPP held training on the use of the BRONE LMS for lecturers and administrators. This training aims to ensure that the digital teaching modules in each course are arranged according to the quality standards set by Universitas Brawijaya.

“BRONE is an important tool for documenting student learning activities, assignments, and grades in an integrated manner,” explained Herman Tolle, Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Computer Science. The digital learning innovation in the BRONE LMS also greatly supports UB’s efforts to prepare the PJJ Study Program and MOOC, which allows UB’s digital learning materials to be accessed by the wider community.

DIPP Documentation

As part of efforts to improve quality, on Monday (9/12/204), DIPP UB carried out the final Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of BRONE funding assistance so that recipients of assistance can make improvements to the outputs produced.

From a series of activities related to BRONE in 2024, there were outputs in the form of quality digital learning materials for 65 courses including 910 learning videos, which complemented the previously existing courses.

Through this series of activities, Universitas Brawijaya has shown real steps in improving the quality of technology-based education. With the BRONE platform that continues to be developed, UB is optimistic that it will be able to provide an optimal learning experience for all students, both inside and outside campus.
