UB Receives a Visit from PPID UGM Team

Universitas Brawijaya (UB) received a visit from a team of Information and Documentation Management Officers (PPID) of Gajah Mada University (UGM), Thursday (6/6/2024) in the Banquet Room of the Rectorate Building, 6th floor.

Coordinator of Protocol Services at the UGM University Secretariat, Haryanto, S.E., MM, said the purpose of the visit was to share knowledge and adopt anything that had not been implemented at PPID UGM.

“We also want to know how UB ensures active involvement and participation in PPID management,” he said.

Head of Information and Public Relations Division, Zulfaidah Penata Gama, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. explains the PPID structure.

“UB PPID consists of elements of the rectorate PPID and faculty PPID. It consists of PPID leader, namely the chancellor, main PPID, main PPID secretariat, PPID implementing coordinator, and field implementing PPID,” she said.

She added, PPID UB is fully supported morally and materially by all levels of university leadership as outlined in a commitment to public information disclosure to create and support a KIP awareness movement at UB

“We coordinate with the faculty PPID up to three times a year. Moreover, in every activity we also involve the faculty PPID team. We also coordinate with the leadership as PPID leader,” she said.

In addition to ask about PPID, the UGM team also asked about the complaint system which is handled through a system called UB Care.

“At UGM there is a complaint service system called aspiration. However, unfortunately, until now not many people have submitted complaints because many students complain via social media. However, we are still running this system and in the faculty there are still several PICs,” said UGM PPID Staff, Eko Paris Besteriyana Yulianto, S.Kom.

In this activity, it was also explained that one of the innovations carried out by PPID was organizing KIP Ambassadors who were screened through a selection process.

“We provide training for students who become KIP ambassadors regarding public information disclosure. There were even participants from disabled students. We also provide materials and training related to public information disputes. Some time ago, when there was a request from the Central Information Commission, we sent them so that they had a better understanding of KIP,” said Zulfaidah. (OKY/UB PR/ Trans. Iir).
