
Universitas Brawijaya (UB) officially accepts 1,723 new students of Postgraduate Program, Thursday (19/08/2021). Still in the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, this activity was held online led by the Rector, and attended by the vice Rectors, Deans of faculties, and leaders of UB Postgraduate Program.
The Education and Student Orientation (ORDIK) activity for postgraduate students for the academic year 2021/2022 was held with the theme “The Role of Higher Education in Preparing Future Leaders for the VUCA Era”.
The series of activities that were held were ORDIK for Postgraduate Students at UB and Multidisciplinary/Interdisciplinary levels which were held on Thursday (19/08/2021), while ORDIK for Postgraduate Students at Faculty level was held on Friday (20/08/2021).

The Director of Postgraduate Program, Prof. Dr. Marjono, M.Phil reported that the 1,723 new Postgraduate students consisted of Multidisciplinary/Interdisciplinary Postgraduate students (Master Degree in Women’s Studies, Master Degree in Environmental Resources Management and Development, Master Degree in National Defense Insights, Doctoral Degree in Environmental Science, and Doctoral Degree in National Resilience Studies) as many as 104 people, FH 228 people, FEB 278 people, FIA 153 people, FP 136 people, Fapet 92 people, FT 138 people, FK 174 people, FPIK 45 people, FMIPA 148 people, FTP 62 people, FISIP 80 people, FIB 34 people, and FILKOM 51 people.
“Several of these students are recipients of Masters to Doctoral Education scholarships for Superior Bachelors / PMDSU and Education Fund Management Institutions / LPDP,” he said.
The Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani AR., MS when opening the event welcomed the new Postgraduate students, and said that they should be proud to be a part of UB since it ranked 4th in Webometrics, and ranked 7th and 8th by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
