UB is Ready to Organize UTBK 2022

UB Rector Surveys the Location of UTBK 2022

Rector of Universitas Brawijaya (UB), Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani AR., MS and his staff visited the location of the Computer-Based Writing Examination (UTBK), Friday (13/05/2022). The UTBK locations reviewed were FIB, FMIPA, FPIK, Fapet, and FISIP. This review was carried out to see the readiness of the room in facilitating the UTBK which will be held from Tuesday (17/05/2022).

“Each faculty has prepared well, starting from health protocols, metal detectors, and we have prepared all facilities for the disabled. Since there has been experience from previous years, I hope that UTBK this year can run better than last year,” said the Rector.

The implementation of UTBK for the 2022 State University Entrance Joint Selection (SBMPTN) in UB will be carried out in two waves, namely the first batch on 17-23 May 2022 and the second batch on 28 May-3 June 2022.

UB provides 67 rooms and 1,380 computers for each session, with 79 supervisors, 16 location managers, 16 location ICT administrators, 16 location ICT admins, 4 server admins, and 69 room technicians in each session.

Meanwhile, the number of participants who will take part in UTBK in UB is 19,487 participants. Regarding the large number of participants, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. drh. Aulanni’am, DES said, UB is ready to anticipate traffic jams.

“Of course there should be no traffic jams on Veteran Street. Therefore, all vehicles will enter UB, and in UB, the flow of vehicles will be arranged,” he said.

The difference from the previous year, the implementation of UTBK in UB uses metal detectors in every room this year.

“Last year, there were already available but only in a few rooms, this year all rooms are equipped with metal detector facilities to anticipate participants bringing cellphones or cameras, and two officers, male and female, are provided in each room to check , “explained Prof. Aul.

Reminding that UTBK participants are required to bring the Exam Participant Identity Card, a legalized copy of a high school/vocational/MA or equivalent certificate or a Class XII Certificate which is equipped with the latest color photograph and wet stamp of the school, as well as an original identity card.

Participants must wear collared shirts and shoes, come 30 minutes before the exam starts, and check the location of H-1 virtually through the page https://selma.ub.ac.id/peta-utbk-2022/. Participants may not wear T-shirts, be late, bring logarithmic lists, communication devices, calculators, paper, notes, watches, cameras, modems and all electronic devices for recording.
