Universitas Brawijaya (UB) has just carried out the handover of Decree (SK) of Appointment to Officials at the faculty level on Monday-Tuesday (10-11/3) at the 7th Floor of the Rectorate Building. This activity aims to introduce newly inaugurated officials, as well as open up opportunities for active communication between faculty leaders and staff to explore information, input, and suggestions for improvements in the campus environment.
UB Rector, Prof. Widodo S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. Med.Sc in his remarks, emphasized the importance of more active coordination between faculty leaders and administrators. “With this activity, we hope that problems in the faculty can be resolved more quickly, since faculty leaders directly know the challenges faced,” said the Rector. This activity also aimed at improving the quality of educational services at UB and encourage every academic community to continue to improvise for the progress of the university.
In addition, UB Chancellor also opened up space for all parties present to provide input. “If there are suggestions or good ideas for the progress of UB, please submit them directly to me, the Dean, or through UBcare,” he added. In the future, it is hoped that communication between faculty leaders and university officials can continue to be well-established.
The handover of this decree covers various positions, starting from the Head of Study Program (KPS), Head of Department (Kadep), to other positions at the faculty level. A total of 19 lecturers attended the activity, consisting of various faculties at UB.
The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) issued decrees to several Heads of Study Programs, including Aji Purba Trapsila, S.E.I., M.E.I., Ph.D., who was appointed as Head of the Islamic Economics Undergraduate Study Program, Al Muizzuddin Fazaalloh, S.E., M.E., Ph.D., who served as Head of the Development Economics Undergraduate Study Program, and Raditha Dwi Vata Hapsari, S.E., M.M., Ph.D., who became Head of the Management Undergraduate Study Program. In addition, Dr. Ana Sofia Aryati, S.E., M.M., was also appointed as Head of the Entrepreneurship Undergraduate Study Program, and Dr. Dra. Arum Prstiwi, M.Si., Ak., as Head of the Accounting Undergraduate Study Program.
The Faculty of Engineering (FT) appointed Dr. Eng. Ir. Evi Nur Cahya, S.T., as Head of the Water Resources Engineering Study Program, and Dr. Ir. Ema Yunita Titisari, S.T., M.T., as Head of the Architecture Undergraduate Study Program.
At the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), the decree was also handed over to Zuabaidah Ningsih As., S.Si., M.Phil., Ph.D., who served as Head of the Chemistry Undergraduate Study Program, and Anna Safitri, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., who was inaugurated as Head of the Chemistry Department. In addition, Dra. Sri Wardhani, M.Sc., also received a decree as Secretary of the Chemistry Department.
Meanwhile, at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), several names were also appointed as new officials, including Ibnu Asqori Pohan, S.Sos., M.A., who became Head of the Political Science Masters Study Program, and Dr. Muhtar Haboddin, S.I.P., M.A., who served as Head of the Government Science Masters Study Program. On the same occasion, various Heads and Secretaries of Departments were also inaugurated, such as Dr. Sumi Lestari, S.Psi., M.Si., who became the Head of the Psychology Department, and Prof. Dr. Drs. Ali Maksum, M.Ag., M.Si., who served as the Head of the Sociology Department.
On another occasion, Tuesday (11/3), the handover of the Decree also included the appointment of 10 Heads of Study Programs at FISIP, including Dewi Puspita Rahayu, S.Sos., M.A. (Head of Sociology Undergraduate Study Program), Dr. Ika Rahma Susilawati, S.Psi., M.Psi. (Head of Psychology Undergraduate Study Program), and Mohammad Fajar Shodiq Ramadlan, S.I.P., M.I.P. (Head of the Undergraduate Political Science Study Program).
During the briefing session, the Rector opened a discussion space related to various issues and challenges faced in the faculty. One of the topics that emerged was the plan to develop the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) in the field of Communication Science and the discourse on opening the Faculty of Psychology. “We hope that communication between leaders and policy makers can continue to be improved to realize a more advanced Universitas Brawijaya,” concluded the Rector.
