UB holds PKKMB (Introduction to Campus Life for New Students) 2022 in blended method (a combination of online and offline). PKKMB will be held for 6 days, 16-21/8/2022. The division is August 16, Offline Admission Ceremony, August 17-18 Ordik (Education Orientation) and Ormawa (Student Orientation) with a blended met,od August 19-21 namely Ordik and Ormawa Faculty.
“We chose blended simply to reduce the risk (covid-19),” said the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Student Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr.Drs. Abdul Hakim, M.Si at the Committee Coordination Meeting at the Widyaloka Building, Monday (8/8/2022).
The Coordinator of Ormawa, dr. Eriko Prawestiningtyas, Sp.F, The acceptance ceremony will only be attended by 500 new students at the Rectorate Field. The process is quite short, which is until 11 am. Meanwhile, the second and third day were just blended and divided into 4 sessions. Each session was attended offline by 750 new students at the Samantha Krida Building while the rest took part online through Google Meet and Zoom.
“Students who have finished their session are not obliged to stay in UB, so they can follow the next session online,” he said.
Regarding the prevention of the spread of covid-19, UB provides requirements for new students who attend offline activities, including not being sick (cough, cold, fever), having dose-2 vaccine, must enforce health protocols. The process includes using a KN-95 mask, bringing hand sanitizer and carrying an independent paper board. In addition, the university also facilitates a committee of students who have not done dose 2 vaccine at RSUB (University of Brawijaya Hospital)
To support the implementation of PKKMB online, the committee has prepared 144 operators.
