Universitas Brawijaya (UB) won four medals in Tarung Drajat competition, Student Sports Week of East Java Province at Pertamina GOR, Sunday (27/3/2022).
UB flagship fighter won two gold medals in the Male Free Fighting in the 67.1 kg class on behalf of Rachmar Ferdinand and in the Motion Arts class on behalf of Dyan Eka Agustin, Siti Nur Faidah, and Ahna.
One silver medal in the Female Free Fighting class 55.1 kg and above in the name of Ahna Nursiami. And one bronze medal in the Female Free Fighting for the 45 kg class and below, in the name of Dyan Eka Agustin.
The achiever of Free Fighting Gold medal, Rachmar, explained that his preparations were only incentive training for a few months before the match and he was more consistent in following the coach’s instructions.
Meanwhile, the representative of Art of Motion, Dyan Eka Agustin, explained that in order to build chemistry with his friends, the main thing to do is to be consistent in meeting each other.
“To coordinate the art of movement is not easy. So the main thing to do is to meet often, either just chatting or practicing. Usually we meet for six days out of seven days to build chemistry together,” said the FPIK student.
Both Rachmar and Dyan hope that Tarung Drajat UKM can get more attention because it has the potential to produce excellent athletes. (OKY/Humas UB/ Trans. Iir).
