Universitas Brawijaya (UB) won excellent accreditation from the Higher Education Accreditation Board (BAN PT). The excellent accreditation achieved by UB is valid until 2023.
Head of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) Dr. Shinta Hadiyantina, S.H., M.H., said that the achievement of excellent accreditation achieved by UB this time is the hard work of all academics who have implemented a culture of quality so that they can surpass SN-Dikti with internationalization.
Shinta added that the acquisition of UB xcellent accreditation is based on the proposal of the Accreditation Ranking Conversion Supplement Instrument (ISK).
ISK is an additional accreditation instrument used for decision making on the conversion of accredited ratings obtained with the 7 Standard Accreditation Instrument (APT 2.0) into a new Accreditation Rating in accordance with the 9 Criteria Accreditation Instrument (APT 3.0).
“There are 6 fulfillment of the ISK table, namely Permanent Lecturers of Higher Education, Non-Permanent Lecturers, Performance Standards and Indicators, Stakeholder Satisfaction Measurement and Graduate Performance Tracking, Study Program Accreditation, and Scientific Publications,” he said.
In addition to fulfilling the ISK table, the quality assurance team also makes Universitas Brawijaya Accreditation Rank Conversion Report which contains lecturers, Quality Assurance System, and Scientific Publications.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Aulanni’am, drh., DES explained that the Superior Accreditation obtained by UB means that UB must provide superior quality in all fields. In addition to the Tri Dharma of higher education, human resources, quality of graduates, accreditation of study programs, learning facilities and collaboration with partners play an important role in bringing graduates closer to the world of work.
“Many institutions require alumni who come from quality universities based on their level of accreditation,” he said.
Prof. Aul added that although UB had achieved Excellent Accreditation, there was still much to be achieved, especially in ranking in Asia and the world.
Meanwhile, UB Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani AR, M.S., expressed his pride that superior accreditation is an achievement for all.
