UB Will be Conducting Online Learning for the Next Semester

Universitas Brawijaya (UB) will still conduct online learning in the next semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic which is still spreading.

Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs Prof. Aulanni’am explained that online learning is still carried out in synchronous and asynchronous forms.

“Synchronous Learning is learning online at the same time, learning directly, and being directly involved,” said Prof. Aul.

Not only Synchronous Learning, UB also does it asynchronously. Asynchronous Learning is online learning at different times.

Communication on Asynchronous learning can be done via web, email, or messages posted on community forums.

Meanwhile, for practicum and field activities, UB imposes written permission from parents and for students who have a Comorbid must include that they are healthy.

“UB continues to carry out health protocols if it is required to do practicum and field activities. Wearing mask with three layers is compulsory. Students who have comorbids are under controlled conditions and those who enter are not in a state of COVID, “said Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs Prof. Aulanni’am.

 

Previously, based on the Rector’s Regulation Number 35 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Resilient Campus (Kampus Tangguh) Universitas Brawijaya, the learning process for the Even semester 2020/2021 was conducted online.

Second, the implementation of research and other field activities can be carried out offline provided that the academic community and students are in good health; Vocational and undergraduate students MUST obtain written approval from their parents or those who bear it; as well as implementing health protocols and obtaining permission from the Dean of the Faculty / Director of Postgraduate Program / Director of Vocations / Director of PSDKU.

Third, the leadership of the Faculty / Program is MANDATORY to ensure that all activities are in accordance with the standard operating procedures for health protocols and conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of learning activities in accordance with standard health protocols.
