Faculty of Medicine University of Brawijaya (FK-UB) inaugurates 18 new specialist doctors, Friday (10/Mar/2016). The inauguration ceremony was directly led by FK-UB’s Dean Dr. dr. Sri Andarini, M.Kes at the sixth floor auditorium.
The Dean delivered, the 18 new specialists were including Pulmonology Specialist Doctor Program and Respiration Medical Science around 2 people, Internal Medicines (3 people), Orthopedics and Traumatology (4 people), Emergency Medical Science (1 people), Eye Health Sciences (1 people), Pediatrics (1 people) and Surgical Science (1 people).
“Therefore the entire FK-UB’s Specialist Doctor graduates till recent are around 752 ones. Hopefully the new specialists could fulfill the need and equitable distribution throughout Indonesia in accordance with the government’s programs,” said the Dean.
Meanwhile the alumni representative, dr. Agung Prasetyo Wibowo, SpA expected that new graduates could practice their profession as specialist doctor and always oriented to the patients’ recovery, not merely personal ego.
“Let’s we strengthen partnership and togetherness between all physicians colleagues, paramedics and the entire supporting elements including ambulance drivers, the sweepers, and parking attendants at our working place in the future, for patients’ safety and convenience,” he ended.
