UB Collaborates with the East Java Communication and Information Services to Hold the Selection of the KIP PTN Ambassador throughout East Java in 2024

Universitas Brawaijya (UB) together with the Communication and Information Services (Diskominfo) of East Java Province  on (28/5/2024) held an Interview Test for the Selection of Public Information Openness Ambassadors for State Universities in East Java in 2024. The activity took place in the Provincial Communication and Informatics Building, East Java Surabaya and was attended by 31 participants from 13 state universities throughout East Java.

On the occasion, the Head of East Java Province Communication and Information Services, Sherlita Ratna Dewi Agustin, who was present to open the event, expressed her gratitude and appreciation to UB for actively following up on the cooperation agreement that had been made with the East Java Provincial Government, especially the East Java Diskominfo.

“We convey that this collaboration is not only in the scope of KIP or public relations, but in terms of information technology, cyber security and data management, so that we can improve the cooperation process,” said Sherlita.

Sherlita also said that the KIP Ambassador selection activity was the first activity carried out by the Provincial Government in collaboration with state universities which had many advantages and benefits, including improving the public information openness index in East Java.

“This KIP Ambassador selection activity is the first to be carried out by state universities in collaboration with the Provincial Government, therefore we need to appreciate and support it together,” he said.

“The collaboration between the East Java Provincial Government and the state universities Public Information Openness Ambassador is one of the strategic steps in increasing the public information openness index, especially in East Java, therefore we hope that this collaboration will continue and be improved, so that public information openness in East Java can remain on the track, in accordance with the vision and mission, the value or index is a bonus,” concluded Sherlita.

Meanwhile, the Chancellor of Universitas Brawijaya, Prof. Widodo, Ssi., M.Si., Ph.D.Med.Sc., in his speech via video, expressed his gratitude especially to Diskominfo for the facility assistance and support for the implementation of the selection of Public Information Openness Ambassadors for state universities throughout East Java.

“First of all, I would like to congratulate you on the implementation of this excellent activity, in order to increase the openness of information to the public, which is an important part of the process of transparency of all public agency activities to the public,” said the Chancellor, starting his remarks.

The Chancellor also said that this activity was very positive in continuing to raise public institutions into hope and trust for the Indonesian people and hoped that in the future there would be cooperation between state universities and all stakeholders and government so that the entire process of providing services to the community would be better, the community would have more confidence, trust is getting better, so the service process to the community is also getting better.

“Congratulations to the East Java KIP ambassador candidates who have completed this interview stage and will carry out their duties as KIP ambassadors who will convey the mandate of the KIP law. The hope is that in the future, there will be cooperation between state universities, all stakeholders and government so that the entire service process to the community will be better,” said the Chancellor.
