Brawjaya University (UB) manage to send 15 chosen students which divided into three teams with three research field (Civic participation, inclusive education, and climate action) in the Knowledge Summit UNESCO Youth as Researchers & Tanoto Student Research Awards (YAR TSRA) 2023. Activities will be held in Jakarta on 13-15 November 2023.
YAR-TSRA is a research program organized by UNESCO and Tanoto Foundation which aims to utilize the potential of the young generation as agents of change in facing socio-economic challenges in Indonesia. The aim is to bridge research and government policy. This program provides 6 research themes, namely civic participation, climate action, digital transformation, inclusive education, and healthcare.
This program is divided into three activities, namely research training for 12 weeks which studies topics related to social research methods, localized events held in 3 cities which facilitate selected youth researchers to discuss with experts, and a knowledge summit which is the final activity for presenting research results and policy briefs to stakeholders as well as officials from UNESCO and the Tanoto Foundation.
