Brawijaya University and the Palestinian Embassy Sign MoU on Scholarships

The Palestinian Ambassador and Brawijaya University Rector at the MoU signingIn order to strengthen a partnership which will be established, on Wednesday (21/Mar/2018), Brawijaya University and the Palestinian Embassy for Indonesia had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Took pace at Rector’s meeting room at 7th floor of the main office, the MoU is directly signed by Rector of Brawijaya University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Mohammad Bisri, MS along with Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Zuhar Al Shun and was attended by the university and faculties boards, Head of Partnership Sub-Division Brawijaya Univeristy, Pranatalia Pratami Nugraheny, S.AB.

The MoU signing was conducted in related with scholarship partnership for the Palestinians which was established since last year. In addition to scholarship, the partnership also formed through the scope of information exchange on educational literature, research collaboration, exchange on cultural activities, joint conference and academic program, joint research and publication and other activities based on both decision of Brawijaya University and the Palectinian Embassy to Indonesia.

Pranatalia, as the Head of Partnership Sub-Division delivered that there are 15 scholarships for the Palestinians. “We will provide around 15 scholarships for graduate and postgraduate level for the Palestinians who will have a college at Brawijaya University,” she explained.

Previously, Brawijaya University who was represented by Vice Rector IV on Partnership Affairs Dr. Ir. Sasmito Djati, along with Pranatalia Pratami Nugraheny, S.AB visited the Palestinian Embassy Office to Indonesia in Jakarta. The Brawijaya University visit was related with partnership of the Embassy especially the Palestinians to have college at Brawijaya University.

Still in the series of the partnership inauguration, the Rector also invited the Palestinian Ambassador to go around and visited Brawijaya University Dieng Campus On the occasion, the Rector showed facilities in the campus, such as Animal Hospital and international standardized football field as well as student rental housing.
