UB Held Tetenger Bumi 58

Preparation for distribution of tree seedlings
In commemorating the 58th Anniversary, Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held an Earth Marking activity (Tetenger Bumi) in Pait village, Kasembon, Malang Regency.
Tetenger Bumi is an activity to mark the earth by planting trees, which the results can be enjoyed by children and grandchildren and other living things in the future.
In Tetenger Bumi which is held by UB this time, there are 58 householders who were given 250 tree seedlings. Each family will receive two to three tree seedlings.
The responsible person of the activity, Tibyani said that durian, avocado and grapefruit seeds were distributed to local residents.
“Each of them received 2 to 3 seeds. In Pait Village, there are 25 RT. Therefore, we as the committe e will distribute the seeds and planting costs to residents’ houses to avoid crowds, “he explained.
UB Rector, Prof. Nuhfil Hanani said that plants have a myriad of benefits for human life since they provide a source of life, provide oxygen, attract carbon dioxide and toxins.
He hoped the tree seeds were given can be useful for the residents of Pait Kasembon Village.
This activity is a form of dedication from Universitas Brawijaya to the community to participate in developing the country.
