Universitas Brawijaya (UB) through the Directorate of Administration and Academic Services (DALA) and the Public Relations Subdivision held a socialization of the 2025 National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) at the Widyaloka Building, UB (17/02/2025). This event aims to provide information to Principals and Guidance and Counseling (BK) Teachers of SMA/MA/SMK throughout Malang Raya regarding the mechanism for accepting new students at UB.
This socialization includes three selection paths, namely the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP), National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT), and the Independent Selection of Universitas Brawijaya. This activity is also expected to ensure that participants understand the selection process well and can provide accurate information to students in their respective schools.

The event was opened with remarks by Dr. Rosihan Asmara, S.E., M.P. as Director of the Directorate of Administration and Academic Services representing the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of Universitas Brawijaya. In his remarks, Rosihan mentioned several changes in the indicators for accepting new students compared to the previous year. “It is hoped that teachers and principals can anticipate and prepare their students. Because the future of these students is in the hands of teachers,” he explained.
Some of the materials presented were an introduction to Universitas Brawijaya delivered by the Head of the Public Relations Subdivision, Tri Wahyu Basuki, A.Md., SE. In his explanation, Tri explained the services provided, including the 3in1 program and various other facilities, including study programs, as well as achievements that have been achieved by the university.
Regarding the selection of new students, the Secretary of the Directorate of Administration and Academic Services, Arif Hidayat S.Kom. M.M, explained in detail about the three UB pathways in the upcoming academic year. In his presentation, Arif explained the provisions, procedures, and requirements that must be met by prospective students who wish to register at UB. “Tomorrow (February 18) is the deadline for SNBP registration, please remind your students to register and finalize immediately before closing. If you are sure, finalize immediately, do not wait until the end of the registration period to avoid a surge in applicants and failed finalization,” he explained.
He also said that at the end of registration, the next step taken by the campus is the verification process. “The campus started working after receiving data from the central committee, and there was not a single data that could be accessed by the campus,” he explained.
Through this socialization, it is hoped that the Principal and BK Teachers can be proactive in helping students understand the new student admission procedures and prepare them to register at Universitas Brawijaya through a path that suits their potential and achievements. (TWB/VQ/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
