After a full month of fasting during Ramadan, Muslims around the world rejoice in welcoming the day of victory. Bisri, MS., IPU., who also served as the Rector of Brawijaya University for the 2014 – 2018 period and was also the caretaker of Bahrul Maghfiroh Malang Islamic boarding school, where in his sermon Prof. Bisri, conveyed that fasting during Ramadan is a form of our devotion to Allah SWT. One of the characteristics of a pious person is mentioned in the Al-Quran, Surah Ali Imran 133-134, namely spending his sustenance in times of happiness and hardship, holding back anger (like a thermos that holds the heat. People don’t know how hot it is inside. And only coming out at times that are beneficial to others) and forgive other people’s mistakes. (ron/UB PR/ Trans. Iir).
