UB Holds Student Release of Short Term International Academic Program

Global Academic Engagement (GAE) Universitas Brawijaya carried out student release for the Short Term International Academic Program (SIAP) Thursday (27/6/2024). The activity, which aims to equip students with global skills, was opened by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Imam Santoso, MP.

In his speech, Prof. Imam Santoso emphasized the importance of this program to equip students with the international experience and communication needed in the future.

The coordinator of GAE activity, Wike Agustin Prima Dania STP, M.Eng, PhD. said students will take part in a Short Course on Critical Thinking and Communication at the University of Western Australia from 29 June 2024 to 13 July 2024, as well as an Intensive Mandarin Program which will take place from 21 July 2024 to 4 August 2024 at the National Sun Yat-Sen University, Taiwan.

Wike hopes that students who take part in this student exchange will be able to gain insight into the learning system abroad and learn about the culture of other countries so that students are ready to compete in the international world.

“We also hope that in the future, more and more students will take part in student exchange activities to various countries prepared by GAE,” said Wike

This release was also attended by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs at Universitas Brawijaya. It is hoped that with this student exchange program, students’ experience in the global scope can increase, and Universitas Brawijaya’s exposure in international level will further expand.
