Universitas Brawijaya Hosts Info Session on MEXT Scholarship, Encouraging Students to Study in Japan

Universitas Brawijaya (UB) continues to encourage its students to gain international academic experience. Through the International Academic Affairs Unit (UPT IAA), UB held an Info Session: Japanese Government Scholarship (MEXT) at the Banquet Room, 6th Floor, UB Rectorate Building. This event provided valuable insights for students and academics regarding study and scholarship opportunities in Japan.

The Head of UPT IAA UB, Dr. Didik Hartono, S.S., M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm shown by the participants. “We strongly support Universitas Brawijaya students in pursuing educational opportunities abroad. The MEXT Scholarship is one of the best chances to obtain a high-quality education in Japan, and we hope this session provides comprehensive information for those interested,” he stated.

The event featured Theresia Chiquita as the keynote speaker. She shared her experiences and strategies for successfully obtaining the MEXT Scholarship, including the challenges and benefits of studying in Japan.

“Studying in Japan is not just about receiving a high-quality education, but also about how we can grow academically and professionally in a global environment. The application process is indeed competitive, but with thorough preparation and a strong understanding of the system, the chances of success are very high,” said Theresia.

During the Q&A session, participants actively inquired about the application process, requirements, and student life in Japan. The speaker also emphasized the importance of understanding both cultural and academic aspects to adapt well to a new study environment.

Through this event, UB reaffirms its commitment to supporting students’ academic mobility at the international level. It is hoped that more UB students will be motivated and prepared to compete for the MEXT Scholarship, opening doors for them to contribute further in the academic and professional world.
