Universitas Brawijaya held Gebyar Brawijaya Qur’ani (GBQ) VII with the theme “The Power of Al-Qur’an in Realizing Indonesia Baldatun Thayyibatun Wa Rabbun Ghaffur” Friday (16/10/2020).
The event was held virtually with a total of 541 high school / Islamic high school or equivalent students, college students and public, spread across 18 provinces and 41 universities in Indonesia. The GBQ event this year consists of MTQ (Musabaqoh Qur’an Recitation), MKQ (Musabaqoh Khattil Qur’an), Modern Solo Nasyid, MSQ (Musabaqoh Syarhil Qur’an, and MKTIA (Musabaqoh Scientific Writing of Qur’an). The opening started by the reading of the holy verses of Qur’an by Tsabit Albanani as UB outstanding Qur’an reader.

“We hope that this activity can make Universitas Brawijaya proud and also make Islam spread throughout Indonesia. I hope this activity will continue, and this activity will produce extraordinary geneation, ”
On the other hand, the coach of the religious arts (Seni Religi) UKM as well as the opening of the symbolic event, Ilhamuddin Nukman S.PSI, M.A, C.HT, CMH expressed his hopes.
“I hope this activity will continue to be held and carried out year after year with far better achievements than the previous years. Because through activities like this, prospective students of Universitas Brawijaya will be selected with various achievements and advantages that each has, “he said.
