UB Collaborates with LPDP and PT Biofarma to Commemorate the National Day of Technology

Universitas Brawijaya (UB) in cooperation with LPDP and PT Biofarma held a Webinar with the theme “The Role of Government and Industry in Improving Innovation of the Nation’s Children through Translational Research”. The webinar, which was held to commemorate the National Day of Technology, was held on Tuesday (10/11/2020).

The first material was delivered by Ir. Wisnu Sardjono Soenarso, M. Eng as Director of the LPDP Research Facility regarding the LPDP Research Funding Service Program with the topic of Support for the Acceleration of National Research Translation.

According to him, besides scholarships, the LPDP has research services to encourage strategic and innovative research that is implemented and creates added value through research funding called RISPRO. This was done so that funding could reach the community through R&D institutions and universities.

There is a process stage from the first RISPRO proposing an independent assessment, second for administrative selection, three for substance selection, four for determining the recipient, and five for signing the contract.

One of UB lecturers who received LPDP RISPRO funding is Dr. Ir. Gatot Ciptadi, DESS from Universitas Brawijaya who created a Gamers Set Bank for Local Goat and Sheep.

  1. Sri Hardi Teteki, M.Kes as the Marketing Director, Research and Development of PT Biofarma said that UB as a university has many ideas and innovations so that by cooperating with industry, the research result can be eliminated.

 

One of UB’s innovations that have collaborated with industry is the rapid test GAD65.

Collaboration of biopharma with UB for the development of GAD65 rapid test products also aims at the availability of products is guaranteed, quality products, affordable prices, product access and distribution, added value for all stakeholders, independence of national products.

GAD65 biosciences rapid test product has distribution permit already from the Ministry of Health Indonesia, AKD 20101910808.

The webinar commemorating the National Day of Technology was attended by around 520 participants from universities, schools, as well as entrepreneurs and almost from all over Indonesia.

The webinar was also held in conjunction with Indonesian Innovation Expo 2020 which was also held online by the Ministry of Research and Technology at innovasiindonesiaexpo.id. (RHM / Humas UB/ Trans. Iir).
