Universitas Brawijaya (UB) affirms its commitment to fully support the implementation of the 2025 National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP), a new student admission pathway designed to provide opportunities for outstanding students from all over Indonesia. This program prioritizes fairness, transparency, and accountability in recruiting the nation’s best talents.

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of UB, Prof. Dr. Imam Santoso, M.P., emphasized that SNBP is one of the government’s important steps in recruiting superior students both academically and non-academically.

“Universitas Brawijaya is committed to make SNBP 2025 a momentum to attract the best talents from all over Indonesia. The selection process will be carried out professionally and transparently so that all participants have the same opportunity to access quality education at UB,” he said.

SNBP 2025 adopts a data-based system from the School and Student Database (PDSS). Student report card data from semesters one to five will be the main reference in the selection. Participating schools must have a National School Identification Number (NPSN) and ensure that the data is uploaded correctly and completely.

The quota of students who are eligible to participate in SNBP is determined based on school accreditation. Schools with A accreditation get the best 40 percent quota, B accreditation gets 25 percent, and C accreditation only the best 5 percent. As an innovation, schools that use e-report cards in filling out PDSS will get an additional quota of 5 percent.

Prof. Imam appealed to schools and students to pay attention to the important schedule of SNBP 2025 so as not to miss crucial stages. The following is the main schedule for School SNPMB Account Registration (December 28, 2024 – January 17, 2025); Student SNPMB Account Registration (January 6 – January 31, 2025; SNBP Registration (January 13 – February 18, 2025), and Announcement of SNBP Results on March 18, 2025

SNBP 2025 provides flexibility for students to choose up to two study programs at State Universities (PTN). If choosing two study programs, one of them must come from a PTN in the same province as the student’s home school.

This opens up opportunities for students who excel in the arts and sports by providing study programs that require special portfolios. Students are advised to prepare portfolios according to the provisions. UB continues to encourage students from underprivileged families to take advantage of the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) College program. This program aims to help students with economic limitations to continue their education without financial constraints.

Prof. Imam Santoso also reminded the importance of honesty in the selection process.

“Fraud in filling in data will not be tolerated. Schools and students who are proven to have cheated will receive strict sanctions, including cancellation of graduation,” he said.

With a modern selection system and full support from Universitas Brawijaya, SNBP 2025 is expected to be a golden opportunity for outstanding students to continue their higher education and contribute to the nation.
