UPT International Academic Affairs/International Office Universitas Brawijaya (IAA UB) held a socialization of the Implementation of Rector Regulation Number 88 of 2024 concerning Double Degree. The activity, which was held on Wednesday, 30 October 2024, at the Alana Hotel, Malang, invited Heads of Study Programs and Vice Deans for Academic Affairs from all faculties at UB.
This activity focuses on the establishment of Double Degree programs in study programs at UB. Head of UB Double Degree Division, Prof. Dr.Agr.Sc. Hagus Tarno, S.P., M.P said that currently there are around 45 study programs that already have Double Degree programs with the majority in the science and technology fields.
“In the future, UB hopes to continue to add study programs that have double degree programs,” said Hagus.
He continued, the scheme offered to students of master program is two semesters at UB and at least two semesters at a partner campus. While the doctoral program is at least three semesters at UB and three semesters at a partner campus.
“The development of this Double Degree program opens up opportunities for universities to improve their world ranking. Students need to be encouraged more to be able to take part in the Double Degree program, especially since we also have many partner universities,” said Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Imam Santoso, M.P when giving an online speech.
