The Rector of Universitas Brawijaya (UB), Prof. Widodo, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D.Med.Sc., visited the Dora Global head office in Shanghai, China, Friday, (11/04/2025). The Rector was accompanied by the Education and Culture Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in China, Yudhil Chatim.
This meeting marked the beginning of a strategic partnership between UB and Dora Global, which is focused on expanding job opportunities for UB alumni in Chinese companies expanding to Southeast Asia, as well as strengthening cross-country research and education collaboration.
The signing of the MOU in Shanghai was led directly by the founder of Dora Global Zhu Meiyuan, a businesswoman who is included in the list of Most Influential Women in Business in China.
In her presentation, Zhu Meiyuan emphasized Dora’s vision to become the main link between the industrial world, educational institutions, and the labor market in Asia. She also highlighted Dora’s commitment to supporting human resource development, especially through training, certification, and opening access to global recruitment through the DoraJob platform.

DoraJob is a digital platform used by Chinese companies to recruit professional workers abroad, including from Indonesia. In addition, Dora actively organizes student exchange programs, establishes partnerships with schools and universities in various countries, and is involved in various activities with embassies and large companies from China. In Indonesia, Dora routinely holds three to four job fairs each year and has collaborated with a number of campuses to make universities centers for competency testing and certified training.
In the meeting, Yudhil conveyed the importance of Dora’s presence in Indonesia not only as a job fair organizer, but also as a strategic partner in increasing HR capacity through intensive training and direct involvement with the industrial world. He also emphasized that this collaboration is in line with the government’s vision in expanding access to international employment for Indonesian graduates.
The Rector welcomed all potential collaborations offered. He said that UB is ready to support this collaboration from various sides, both in preparing graduates who are ready to work in global companies, providing a digital platform for online learning, developing a joint training system, and strengthening branding synergy between Dora and UB in order to expand the global impact of both institutions.
As a concrete follow-up to this meeting, both parties agreed to initiate several joint strategic programs, including holding a job fair at UB Malang campus which will also be open to students from other universities.
“This job fair will be an important event for students to interact directly with Dora’s partner companies from China and other Asian countries, especially approaching graduation,” said the Rector.
In addition, the collaboration will also include the development of online courses based on collaboration between lecturers at Universitas Brawijaya and industry practitioners from China, which will be accessed through UB digital platform and the Dora application. In the near future, the Dora team is also scheduled to visit UB Jakarta Campus and the Entrepreneurship Incubation Center (PIK) at the end of April 2025 to directly review the potential for further collaboration.
Furthermore, Dora and UB are also exploring the possibility of research collaboration and training for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), including the development of a joint research center with large Dora Global partner companies. UB itself has prepared an industrial research center development area based on collaboration between universities and global partners.
The collaboration between UB and Dora Global is one of the real steps in strengthening the internationalization of higher education in Indonesia, as well as contributing to the development of superior human resources who are able to compete at the global level. This partnership is expected to open up more opportunities, not only for UB students and alumni, but also for the wider education and industry ecosystem.
