Universitas Brawijaya (UB) collaborates with the East Java Province (Jatim) Communication and Information Service (Diskominfo), to carry out the election of Public Information Openness Ambassadors (KIP) for State Universities throughout East Java in 2024. The activity was held at the Ijen Suite Hotel Malang on Thursday (5/30).
This activity is the final stage of the entire series of activities that have been carried out in the selection of the 2024 East Java KIP Ambassador. Seven participants were selected from all universities in East Java. They selected 31 participants from the previous interview stage which was held at the Surabaya Diskominfo Office.
KIP Commissioner for Information Dispute Resolution, Syawaludin was present as a judge at this final stage. Syawaludin explored the various knowledge of the seven participants face to face, one by one. They will be tested regarding their knowledge and suitability to become East Java KIP Ambassadors 2024.
They have the responsibility to socialize and explain KIP to the public in general and their peers in particular. After this stage, the winner will be announced during the KIP Ambassador awarding which will be held at the Grahadi Building, Surabaya. The plan is the award will be given by the Chancellor of UB and the Governor of East Java.
“This activity is very positive for introducing what KIP is to the community. UB has dared to take a breakthrough to carry out this activity and socialize the importance of KIP in the Higher Education environment in East Java.
