UB Shares Knowledge about Quality and Accreditation

As UB’s commitment to always share and help answering various questions about quality, accreditation, PD-DIKTI, and sharing experiences, then UB through PJM-LP3M again held the 2nd year Free Online Quality Seminar Series-2 with the title “Strategies for Obtaining Superior Accreditation with CSI (Conversion Supplementary Instrument)” Friday, (12/19/2021).

This activity received a very good response from the academic community.

There were 532 registered participants from almost all provinces in Indonesia.

Participants were dominated by lecturers (94%). Meanwhile, based on the origin of the institution, most of the participants came from universities (80.6%), polytechnics (6.6%), high schools (6%), institutes (5.8%) and non-academics (0.9%).

The Online Quality Seminar Series was opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof.Dr. dr. Aulanni’am, DES.

She conveyed that UB’s success in obtaining superior accreditation through CSI needs to be shared.

In 2021, UB has got 31 Study Programs that accredited Superior through CSI.

“UB also leading in this superior accreditation. In one year, UB has got 31 accredited Study Program. It is extraordinary,” said Aida.

CSI (Conversion Supplementary Instrument) is an Instrument proposed by the Executive Board of BAN-PT and determined by the Accreditation Council of BAN-PT which is specifically used for rating conversion from the A, B, and C rating system to the Superior, Excellent, and Good rating system.

In his presentation, Dr. Slamet Wahyudi conveyed the requirements that must be met by the Study Program Organizing Unit (UPPS) and Study Program (PS) in obtaining superior accreditation through CSI and from a policy perspective.

Each CSI criteria is presented in detail so that participants are expected to get a complete picture of what must be prepared.

Meanwhile, Dr. Purnami, ST., MT explained UB’s best practice in obtaining superior accreditation through CSI from the side of UPPS.

In his presentation, Dr. Purnami emphasized the importance of the role of UPPS in managing and coordinating Study Programs in it in achieving superior accreditation both directly and indirectly, including related to HR management, SPMI, tracer studies, and others.

Meanwhile, Nila Firdausi Nuzula, Ph.D explained UB’s best practice in obtaining superior accreditation through CSI from the side of Study Program.

Furthermore, Nila Firdausi Nuzula, Ph.D. conveyed that although CSI was proposed by UPPS, the division of roles between UPPS, majors and study programs became very important for the success of the study program to become superior accredited through CSI.

The role of Quality Assurance Center (PJM), the Quality Assurance Group (GJM) and the Quality Assurance Unit (UJM) are also very important in the quality assurance process and in assisting the accreditation process. UB quality assurance is carried out regularly and continuously at least once a year through the Internal Quality Audit (AIM), which in 2021 has reached the 20th cycle.
