Universitas Brawijaya (UB) is ranked fourth along with 11 universities in Indonesia in the Times Higher Education version of the World University Ranking (WUR), which was released in September 2021.
Head of the Rating Agency, Adharul Mutaqin S.T., M.T. explained that according to the release distributed by THE this year, UB’s ranking is 1021+, which is on the list of the 6 universities in Indonesia that are included in the ranking.
“There are several things that become important points for UB to raise the ranking, which are related to citations, research, and teaching. All the three aspects contain assessments from outside the university, either through surveys or from international publication databases. This is greatly influenced by how UB is better known through reputation, collaboration, or research results and publications,” he said
THE World Universitiy Ranking uses five assessment pillars, namely Teaching (30%), Research (30%), Citation (30%), Industry Income (2.5%), International Outlook (7.5%).
Last year, nine Indonesian universities were included in the WUR THE list. Whereas, there are 14 universities that are included in the WUR list this year.
