Universitas Brawijaya (UB) is in the 3rd rank of Indonesia’s higher education according to 4ICU version. In this ranking, the first and second ranks are UI and UGM, respectively. Meanwhile, universities under UB are Unair, UPI, and UNY.
The head of Rating Center, Adharul Muttaqin S.T., M.T., explained that the increase in the 4ICU ranking could indicate that more and more people are accessing or seeking information about the campus.
“If the last January UB was in 666 position, then this October period is in 488 position,” he said.
The Electrical Engineering lecturer explained that 4ICU is an international university ranking site based on web traffic or based on web metrics.
“The assessment methodology uses assessment indicators based on five webmetrics, namely Google Page Rank, Alexa Traffic Rank, Majestic Seo Referring Domains, Majestic Seo Citation Flow, and Majestic Seo Trust Flow. They collect the same data and they analyze it based on the metrics they get,” said Adharul.
Adharul said the increase in traffic is closely related to the information provided by UB and is widely accessed by stakeholders, especially for those who want to find information for admission selection, academic information, research, and even opportunities to cooperate with UB.
