Making History, Vocational  Won Many Titles at the 2023 Olivia Event

The Vocational Faculty held an appreciation event to commemorate the achievements of the finalists in the 2023 Indonesian Vocational Olympiad (Olivia), which was held at Sebelas Maret University, Solo, on (24/11-25/11/2023). In the very competitive final round, the six teams consisting of 18 selected students from five study programs (Prodi) managed to win in various competition categories.

Two teams won the 1st place in two competition categories. The team of Wildan Taufiqurrahman, Irawan Aji Pangestu, Putri Lidyana Arisandy, and Salsabila Azzahra succeeded in winning the Scientific Papers (Science and Technology) Competition. Meanwhile, Diandra Paramitha Purboasmoro and Rizal Ndaru Husada won the 1st place in the Creative Poster (Financial Literacy) category.

Furthermore, another team won the 2nd place in the Creative Videos (Short Animation) Competition, represented by Abdullah Yusup Azzam and Muh. Ihsan Adri Ramadhan.

Extraordinary achievements also came from the two teams who won the Runner-Up Champions. The team of Rayyan Kaira Paraditra, Kelvin Dwipangga, Muhammad Fajri Hidayat, and Kaka Muhammad Fasa won the 1st Place in the Smart System/Smart Application Competition, while the team of Eleonora Febriola Permatasari, Ilmi Ananda Putri Yuliani, and Amelia Indah Wulandari won the 2nd Place in the Digital Competition Creative Economy (International Trade & Business Challenge). In addition, the last team, Melinda Susanto, Rini Wulandari, and Hasna Mardhiyah, managed to enter the Top 10 Finalists in the Creative Videos (Short Animation) Competition.

The Rector, Prof. Widodo, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D.Med.Sc., expressed his pride and appreciation for the brilliant achievements achieved by the Vocational Faculty delegation. The success in winning 1st place in the Scientific Papers and Creative Poster categories shows the extraordinary dedication and fighting spirit of every student involved. The Rector hopes that this achievement will continue to be an inspiration for future generations of students.

In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Mukhammad Kholid Mawardi, S.Sos., M.A.B., Ph.D., said that he would give special appreciation to the winners, especially those who won 1st place. They will get the privilege of not having to write their final assignments according to academic policy.

Mukhammad Kholid Mawardi hopes that more and more Vocational Faculty students will show their achievements in the fields of academics, creativity, innovation, as well as interests and talents. Thus, this achievement not only provides benefits for individuals, but also for the Faculty and Brawijaya University as a whole, so that the achievements of the Main Performance Association (IKU) can be achieved.

Meanwhile, Chief Executive of Assistant Lecturer, Ir. Zikrie Pramudia Alfarhisi, St., Mt., expressed his admiration for the spirit and hard work of his team.
