The attendance rate of Computer-Based Written Exam (UTBK) participants at UB 2024 is quite high or above 95 percent.
Based on data obtained from the Directorate of Administration and Academic Services (DALA), the attendance rate of participants until Friday (3/5/2024) was as follows: session 1 reached 96.46 percent, session 2 was 96.39 percent, session 3 reached 95.97 percent, session 4 was 97.41 percent and the highest was in session 5, namely 98.10 percent.
In a Press Conference activity, Thursday (2/5/2024), UB Chancellor Prof. Widodo said that the UTBK activities were running smoothly.
“Alhamdulillah, we have been around and have reviewed several test locations with the committee, everything went well and until now no suspicious things have been found.”
The former dean of FMIPA said that there are many factors that cause participant absences, such as illness or taking the civil service school exam.
“We cannot detect the factors that cause the absence,” he said.
Deputy Chairperson of the UTBK UB Implementation Committee, Dr. Rosihan Asmara, SE., MP. said that participant delays are considered absences.
“Those who are more than 30 minutes late are not allowed to enter, we count them as absences. Absences can be many because, for example, they have registered for UTBK and registered for civil service and at the time of the exam the schedule clashes. Some time ago they had called to ask if there was a dispensation and with a heavy heart we could not systematically allocate it to another schedule,” he said.
UTBK at UB was attended by 20,775 participants which will be implemented only in wave I. From that number, 18 of them are disabled participants who are specifically placed in the Computer Laboratory of the Faculty of Computer Science which has easy access for people with disabilities. A total of 62 rooms in 16 locations are used for the implementation of the exam and there are 1,580 computers provided with 280 reserves. (OKY/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
