The “Demo Day: Time to Boost Your Startup (Sequel to Advance)” event, which is part of the 2024 Startup Capacity Improvement Program, was successfully held at the Horison Trunojoyo Hotel, Batu City, East Java, on August 23-24, 2024. This event ran smoothly and managed to attract the attention of many parties from various sectors.

The event, which was held for two days, began on Friday, August 23, 2024, with a lively opening. The opening ceremony was filled with singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya, followed by remarks from various important figures, the Deputy for Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Siti Azizah, MBA, Director of the Directorate of Innovation and Science Technology Area, Universitas Brawijaya, Mohammad Iqbal, S.Sos., MIB., DBA, including the Assistant Deputy Information Technology Development and Business Incubation of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Christina Agustin, A.Pi., MM., and several other leaders from the academic sector and local government.

This Demo Day is an event for startups to present their ideas and innovations in front of reviewers consisting of various industry professionals, including Farid Rahman from Beon Intermedia, Andina Paramita from Ngalup.co, M. Ziaelfikar Albaba Founder of Indiekraf, Sa’atul Ihsan from Berkah Ventures, and several other names. The selected startups, such as Methabarata, Herbify Indonesia, Arta Grow Persada, and many more, gave extraordinary presentations and attracted the interest of investors.

During the two days of the event, participants and reviewers were involved in pitching sessions conducted in intensive but productive English. Each pitching session was complemented by a question and answer session that allowed startups to get valuable input from experts in their fields. This event is also an opportunity to build networks between startups and investors and mentors.

On the second day, Saturday, August 24, 2024, the event was successfully closed after the entire series of activities went well. Participants, reviewers, and invited guests expressed their satisfaction with the implementation of the event which was considered professional and well-organized.

This program not only shows the latest innovations from startups but also serves as concrete evidence of the commitment of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs in supporting the growth and development of the startup ecosystem in Indonesia. This program aims to increase the capacity and capability of startups through various training, mentoring, and opportunities to obtain funding from partners of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs.
