Lecturers at Faculty of Animal Husbandry Brawijaya University (Fapet UB) who are incorporated in a team so-called Centre Study of Beef Cattle had a meeting with staff of Monetary Resilience Department of Bank Indonesia, Tuesday (23/Jan/2018). They are Prof. Trinil Susilawati, Dr. Kuswati and Aulia Puspita Anugra Yekti, M.Sc.
The meeting which was conducted in Bank Indonesia Surabaya Office was aimed at presentation of cooperation activities report in 2017. As since 2009, Bank Indonesia Surabaya hand-in-hand with Team of Centre Study of Beef Cattle Faculty of Animal Husbandry for establishment and strengthening cluster of beef cattle in Tuban.
The event they have been conducted since 2017 in Palang Sub-District, Tuban regency was created demo plot of beef cattle breeding by having an artificial insemination using sexing cement.
Hopefully will be producing many beef seeds in Palang Sub-District for its fattening. Since Tuban Regency is included within a district with the largest beef cattle population.
After presentation, both agreed to lengthen the activities partnership. The future activity plan is to have branding on activities of beef cattle cluster that have conducted, continuing implementation of artificial insemination using sexing cement on cattle of selection result, and socialization on improvement of beef feed in reasonable price by community self-help.
Prof. Trinil mentioned that through the event could be understood the importance of cluster making on beef cattle in a sub-district or district area. [Nien/dta/Humas UB/trans. Denok]
