PPK Ormawa Team Introduces IoT-Based Modern Rice Barn Program

In order to make the IoT-based Modern Rice Barn Implementation program a success, the PPK Ormawa EKM FP (Faculty of Agriculture Student Family Executive) Team collaborates with various parties to provide very useful support, both for the PPK Ormawa EKM FP team and for the sustainability of the program in the future. The parties involved in the Implementation of IoT-based Modern Rice Barns include the Kediri Regency Agriculture and Plantation Service, the Banyakan Regency Agricultural Extension Center (BPP), the Rebo Ijo Wisanggeni Community, the Manyaran Village Government, the Manyaran Village Farmers Group Association, and the Manyarejo Farmers Group. The support and collaboration from various parties are expected to increase the effectiveness and success of the program as a whole.

In the socialization program for the introduction of the PPK Ormawa program which was carried out on (23/6/2024), the PPK Ormawa EKM FP team received full support from the BPP of Banyakan Regency, the Manyaran Village Government, and the Manyarejo Farmers Group. In making the Socialization Program for the Introduction of IoT based Modern Rice Barns a success, the Manyaran Village Government provided various supports, ranging from the provision of facilities and infrastructure, partnership networks, dissemination of information, to supervision and evaluation. The Manyarejo Farmers Group was also active during the socialization activity, supporting every stage of its implementation.

“The formation of this collaboration allows the PPK Ormawa EKM FP team to combine various different expertise, resources, and perspectives so that the program can run more effectively and efficiently. In addition, by involving various parties, it not only expands the network and support, but also ensures that the program we run can provide broader and more sustainable benefits,” said Vicki Dafa Danuarta as the head of the PPK Ormawa EKM FP UB implementation team.

The IoT-based Modern Rice Barn Implementation Program shows great potential in improving food security and price stability for the main harvest. The success of this program cannot be separated from the close collaboration between the implementation team and various related parties. The IoT-based modern rice barn implementation program is in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) points number 2 (zero hunger), number 9 (infrastructure, industry and innovation), number 12 (responsible consumption and production), and number 13 (climate management).
