The Doctoral Service Team (DM) held a coffee brewing technique training for the people of Gombengsari Village, Kalipuro District, Banyuwangi Regency on (16/7/2022). This activity aims to increase the competence of the people of Gombengsari Village, Kalipuro District in brewing coffee with various techniques, as well as to recognize the taste of coffee.
In addition to coffee brewing techniques, taste recognition is also carried out. This taste recognition activity is given as a basis for ensuring the quality of coffee products in the future.
In this activity, the community was also introduced to other coffee creations such as Americano, affogato and cappuccino.
To support the sustainability of the training activities, the DM team provided several sets of coffee brewing equipment, such as espresso coffee tools, coffee grinders, and manual brewing equipment packages from the Doctoral Service program to Rejo Coffee Farmers Group, Gombengsari Village, Kalipuro District, Banyuwangi.
This activity is a series of Doctoral Service (DM) Program Universitas Brawijaya (UB) chaired by a lecturer from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA UB), Mufidah Afiyanti, PhD with the DM team, namely Zulfaidah Penata Gama, S.Si., M.Si. , Ph.D (FMIPA); Wenny Bekti Sunarharum, STP., M.Food.St., Ph.D (FTP); Sugiono, S.T., M.T., Ph.D (FT) and Muhammad Nuh, Ph.D (FIA).
The speaker of this activity is a lecturer at the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering (FTP), Wenny Bekti Sunarharum, PhD. This training is supported by Universitas Brawijaya Real Work Lecture team who are members of the Serving Doctoral program (KKNT-DM UB). (DM/Humas Ub/ Trans. Iir).
