The Doctoral Service Team (DM) held a forum group discussion (FGD) “Capacity Development and Community Empowerment through Organizations” to increase the motivation, ability, and skills of the community in organizing.
The targets for the FGD were coffee farmer groups, women and youth in Gombengsari Village, Kalipuro District, Banyuwangi.
Some of the materials presented were organizational material and motivation for the participation of women and youth.
The organizational material was delivered by a lecturer at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya, Mohammad Nuh, PhD.
“Rejo Coffee farmer groups in Kalipuro District also need to increase capacity in managing their organizations so that farmer group activities can run smoothly and can achieve common goals,” said Mufidah Afiyanti.
Meanwhile, the motivation for the participation of women and youth in the world of Indonesian coffee is conveyed by a lecturer of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering UB, Wenny Bekti Sunarharum, PhD.
The development of community competence of women and youth to participate in the development of coffee in Kalipuro District is very necessary, one of which is by increasing competence in the field of organization.
This activity is a series of DM programs supported by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Universitas Brawijaya.
This activity is also supported by UB Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT) students who are members of this DM activity. This activity will be held on July 16, 2022.
This FGD activity was chaired by a Lecturer from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya, Mufidah Afiyanti, Ph.D, together with the DM team, namely Zulfaidah Penata Gama, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D (FMIPA); Wenny Bekti Sunarharum, STP., M.Food.St., Ph.D (FTP); Sugiono, S.T., M.T., Ph.D (FT) and Muhammad Nuh, Ph.D (FIA).
