FISIP UB is again a magnet for high school students who want to continue to a higher level. SMA 1 Muhammadiyah Malang made a visit to this orange campus with the aim of knowing more deeply about the Department of Sociology UB.
Around 20 students of Social Studies Class XII who were accompanied by teachers were well received by the leadership of FISIP UB and Department of Sociology UB, Monday (17/1/2022).
Vice Dean 3 for Student Affairs FISIP UB, Dr Bambang Dwi Prasetyo admitted that he was happy with the visit by SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. Because the arrival of guests is a form of the arrival of a fortune.
“Of course we welcome this good guest with the hope that it will become an extraordinary deeds. We are happy with visits like this whether from high school or other campuses,” he said.
Bambang Dwi considers a high school visit to a university to be an extraordinary thing. Because students still receive gray information about how the college is.
“After coming to college, it will definitely inspire you to get into your dream campus. And of course I hope you are motivated to be able to com
e here,” said the man who is also a lecturer in UB Communication Science.
On the other hand, the Head of Department of Sociology UB, Dr. Ali Maksum, motivates students not to feel unconfident when they enter campus.
“When you enter campus, you don’t count which school you are from, favorite or not. Because the key is the discipline of each while undergoing college. In fact, many from the village stood out while in the campus,” he continued.
Meanwhile, the teacher representative of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang, Maya Marisa expressed her gratitude for the opportunity given to her party to visit FISIP UB.
“For class XII Social students, hopefully they can learn from this activity. And then students can be more enthusiastic about doing studies,” she said.
